My 30 Day Experience with Gwynnie Bee

If you did not read my first impression post I will leave it here (My First Gywnnie Bee Box) for you to read if you want to find out my first thoughts and why I joined Gwynnie Bee. But if you have then you know that for the last month I have been trying out the Gwynnie Bee’s free thirty day trial. I have heard so many great thing about this subscription service that when I started it, I did have some really high hopes for it.

Gwynnie Bee is a plus size online subscription service where you can rent out clothes. For your first month of signing up you get a free thirty day trial. With the free trial you get to rent out two garments and then afterwards you can choose which service you will want to go with.

Out of the thirty day trial I was able to rent six pieces of clothing. The reason I go six items was because after opening my boxes and trying out the clothes I sent them back immediately.

The Clothing

Gwynnie Bee carries a lot of plus size clothing brands that I don’t think I will ever be able to afford. They carries brands from the Melissa McCarthy Seven7 line to CityChic. A lot of the brands are on the more higher end than your typical Torrid or Forever21 brands.

Because they have more higher end brands I find that most of the clothing options on Gwynnie Bee are more or the mature working women. It’s great if you have a job where you can dress business casual. But for a college student looking for something to wear everyday, the selection was very limited. I prefer more trendy pieces whereas the clothes on Gwynnie Bee is something someone more mature would wear.

I found it hard looking for pieces I like because most of the pieces are something I would not wear on an everyday bases.

Shipping

Shipping is really fast. It takes about five days from me entering that I was returning my items to receiving the new one. I have no problem with shipping. Everything comes packaged nicely along with the return bag.

My Boxes

For my first box I did not know what to expect even though I had high hopes. I was completely split with the box. I ended up really liking one dress while the other was a no.

My Second box was a real disappointment. The sizing was off and I did not like the pair of jeans that I receive. The dress was cute but still a no.

My last box was a best. I love the Melissa McCarty jeans were so amazing. They felt so well made and sturdy. The shirt from City Chic was so cute and comfortable. I really love the pieces in the box.

Final Thoughts

If you are someone who has an office job or a job where you have to dress professionally I think Gwynnie Bee would be a great service for you. You get new pieces of clothing every month without sacrificing the space in your closet. You get to try high end clothes without committing to paying hundreds of dollars for them. And if you end up liking them they you can buy them at a discounted price.

But if you are on a budget and prefer more trendy pieces, Gwynnie Bee might not be for you. Even for one piece of clothing, the price for that plan is over $50 dollars. That’s more than what my budget would allow me. Along with that the clothing options for me is not worth paying the subscription price for.

I had to search to find very few pieces that I like. Even when I found some pieces there is a chance that they don’t have a size that will fit me. I know it’s not Gywnnie Bee’s fault but that means I have less options to choose from.

Overall I think Gywnnie Bee is worth it if it fits in your life styles and you are looking to save some money on higher end clothing. But if you are just an average college student on a budget, Gywnnie Bee may not be you for.

This is just my opinion and experience. Of course everyone has there own opinions and experience. If you are interested you can try Gwynnie Bee for free for 30 days like I did all you have to do is sign up. I do have an referral link id you want to use it but you don’t need to.

I hope this review is help ful and until next time Stay Beautiful,
